Vincentian general election, 2005

Saint Vincent and the Grenadines held elections for 15 seats in the House of Assembly on 7 December 2005. 34 candidates from three political parties contested the election. The ruling Unity Labour Party (ULP), led by Prime Minister Ralph Gonsalves, and the main opposition New Democratic Party (NDP) fielded candidates in all 15 constituencies. The remaining four came from the Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Green Party. Approximately 91,000 Vincentians were eligible to vote.
Gonsalves and his ULP were returned to power with a 12-seat majority, which is identical to the number of seats the party won in the 28 March 2001 election. The NDP won the remaining three seats.
